Lisa is about to finish her junior year of high school. She is leading her softball team all the way to the state championship and is looking forward to a summer of fishing, camping, biking and part-time jobs. Little does she know that some nefarious things are happening right in her small community of Hemlock Corners that will unintentionally rope her and her Uncle Jerry into a scandalous crime that threatens the environment and their lives.

About the author: Dale Hanson grew up on a farm and went on to teach high school agriculture, work as the Director of Soil and Water Conservation in Barron County, Wisconsin, complete a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science at U.W. Stevens Point, and teach in that same field at U.W. River Falls after retirement. He has a strong conservation ethic and a passion for environmental sustainability, all outdoor activities, and teaching.
