Dale Hanson featured in the Barron News Shield.

“Barron County native and longtime conservationist Dale Hanson has published a novel, “The Torch Has Been Passed,” in hopes of inspiring the next generation to be good stewards of the planet.

Part coming-of-age story, part environmental thriller, the book draws heavily on Hanson’s decades of experience as a teacher and Barron County conservationist in the Land Services Department.”

“As content goes, Manske frames his poetry within a calendar year, each month summed up into four haikus each. All twelve months are also presented with a nature photo, each taken by the author. ‘I'm an outdoor enthusiast... living in Minnesota we really get a full calendar picture with different seasons and weather.’“
