Eichers demonstrates the human element-and all its foibles-in an inexact and difficult profession, 'striving without reserve' in a business that demands perfection. From both scientific and literary perspectives, Eichers shares the technical and emotional journey across three decades inside biomedical device engineering.

About the author: Pat Eichers, USAF veteran, BEE, BA, ASQ CQM, CQE, CQA, CRE, and community college adjunct instructor, was lucky enough to enjoy a productive 41-year career in Quality/Reliability Engineering. His current retirement gig is now that of writer and storyteller. He lives with his birder wife, Kris, on a quiet lake just outside the Twin Cities.
